Asbjørn Jacobsen (50) has been appointed Managing Director of Semco Maritime in Norway and will contribute to the realisation of the group’s ambitions for the Rig Projects division and the Norwegian market.
He joined the company on 19 April and will become a member of the management team in Rig Projects and report directly to Nikolaj Vejlgaard, Senior Vice President of Rig Projects.
Asbjørn Jacobsen is from Stavanger and has in-depth knowledge of the Norwegian market and the rig industry in particular as well as the oil and gas industry in general based on more than 20 years of experience from management positions at TekniskBureau, Westcon Rig Services, Odfjell Drilling and other industrial and engineering companies. He holds an MS.c. in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

He will also play a key role in developing Operation Support Norway in close interaction with the management team and across divisions in Semco Maritime,” says Nikolaj Vejlgaard, Senior Vice President of Rig Projects.
Asbjørn Jacobsen will work from Semco Maritime’s facilities at Hanøytangen and the office in Stavanger.
